About Us

The Being Planted App is a gentle space to remember what matters. It’s a place for nervous system nourishment, presence, and memory-keeping—for parents, hopeful parents, grief-holders, chosen aunties, cautious grandmothers, and anyone in a season of becoming.

It was dreamed up by two women—Pam, a somatic therapist and flower farmer, and Shantelle, a mother and photographer—who have lived through the seasons of waiting, growing, and letting go. Being is the space they longed for while in transition: soft, soulful, seasonal, and slow.

This is not a productivity tool. This is a remembering tool. A place where your breath matters. Your photos matter. Your moments matter.

Whether you’re knee-deep in parenting, in the quiet of a fertility journey, or creating meaning from grief—Being Planted is here to hold your hand, gently.

Our Philosophy of Presence

We believe in showing up for life with both feet on the earth and one hand on your heart.
Presence isn’t about perfection—it’s about noticing.

The Being Planted App was created to help you gently return to yourself, one moment at a time.
A photo. A breath. A pause in the chaos. A memory captured before it slips away.

In a world that rushes and scrolls, we invite slowness.
We celebrate reflection.
We honour the in-between.

We believe your story deserves to be witnessed, even if only by you.

Our Approach to Spirituality

We approach this work with reverence—but not religion.

Some prompts may gently explore your connection to meaning, nature, wonder, grief, or the cosmos. But we don’t tell you what to believe. We simply open the door.

There is no doctrine here. Just invitations.
To remember.
To imagine.
To listen to what stirs in your spirit when you slow down enough to hear it.

Whether you light candles for your ancestors, whisper to your garden, pray, journal, walk barefoot in the grass, or just breathe—it all belongs here.

Why Memory-Keeping Matters

We believe in celebrating memory-keeping as both healing and holy.

This app isn’t just about storing your life. It’s about witnessing it. Honouring it. Creating small, sacred rituals out of the ordinary. A baby’s first laugh. A grief you can’t name. A morning where nothing happened except peace.

Being Planted blends the beauty of old-school scrapbooking with nervous system awareness and seasonal rhythms. It’s not about curation. It’s about connection.

What you capture doesn’t have to be perfect. It just has to be yours.

They raise their children nearby and see each other daily, often swapping stories and support over coffee or while managing the chaos of parenting. While they each lead distinct lives and run their own businesses, this collaboration reflects the overlap of their shared values, mutual trust, and belief in preserving the beauty of everyday life.
